Hello! My name is Paige Bautz.

I am a single mother, author, advocate and speaker.

I am also the CEO of the "The Box, by Paige",

"Sophia Rayne, by Paige" and the "My Little Preemie Project" facilitator.

I published my first children's book, Me, You, and the NICU in the Fall 2022.

A little more about me: 

I come from a small farming community in Saskatchewan. Growing up, I honestly was not very exposed to disabilities or different family dynamics. I had never really heard of the NICU. Since graduating and attending University to obtain my Bachelor of Education, my eyes have been opened, and many unexpected events have unraveled in my life.

In 2019, I became a single mom. Having a premature baby, navigating weeks in the NICU and receiving the news of an unexpected diagnosis for Paige's daughter of Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy (2020) and a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (2022) has sparked passion to create awareness, and advocate for disabilities and NICU families.

Since March 2021, I have started building a platform and community on Instagram to express the reality of my emotions with my situation. I have started educating myself, and am now sharing what I am learning. I have stepped into the vulnerable role of advocating for disabilities and awareness around having a Preemie, the NICU, and relearning about Disabilities (specifically, Cerebral Palsy and Autism).

I have lots to unlearn about disabilities. I am willing to learn and share my honest feelings about this chapter of my life. I hope to connect with others who simply understand.
